Hey y'all, I've been thinking of sharing some desk inspiration this month. Hopefully, I'll be able to do more posts about my room and the process of making a small space work for you. Before we moved into our recent home, my old room, in where I grew up in, was way too small. I had a bed, a table, and a chandelier. It sounds very french, but believe me, it was a nightmare trying to walk around in my tiny little cubicle. Nonetheless, I learned how to manage in a small living space, which really allowed me to appreciate the value of arranging & rearranging furniture.
I've always been a busy bee, so a well thought out desk space was a huge factor in my new room. Since our home has always been Shabby Chic influenced, I knew I had to keep a little bit of that style in my new room. Rachel Ashwell has always been a huge influencer in our interior decor, I remember Mom, my sister Becky, our two dear friends Kimberly & Claudia, & myself, would road trip up to Fredricksburg, TX for vintage flea market shopping. We would spend weekends up in Fredricksburg, then visit Round Top, Comfort, and other small neighboring towns, just to find the best vintage pieces for our home. As I grew older, I wanted a more modern take on the Shabby Chic feel. I discovered my deep love for the color black, leopard prints, python prints, and gold. I wanted to be able to decorate my room differently from our house, but with my mom's approval. I decided to keep the pastel tones, renewed the French Shabby Chic theme, & added a few pop culture pieces.
