my crazy pink obsession
The pink accents in my room make me feel like I live in my personal fairy cloud. Mom found this PINK CRAZY-HAIRED stool at our local ROSS. She posted a picture on her Instagram and I was at school when I saw it, so I called her from the restroom and told her to buy it ASAP. It cost a total of $25 so I hesitated, but then I thought, "Hello...it's the perfect cotton candy stool, Brenda! You need it now."
I always get so many compliments on my pug tape dispenser. It's the funnest part of my desk/stationary collection. I also have pug book ends, but I move them around from time to time just to mix it up. My tape dispenser sits on top on my laptop, and chills on my lap, and keeps me company while I'm up late at night. Even though my room isn't as big as I'd like it to be, I somehow manage to keep things interesting.
Stay in theme. PINK & WHITE are my primary colors. GOLD & BLACK are my accent colors. People who are barely starting to create a theme, often make the mistake of getting a comforter or duvet with very intriquite designs and colors, this is the first mistake in building a linen closet. You want to keep things versatile, so a white, grey and maybe even black bed sheets will make for a great base. I stay true to my roots- Shabby Chic Couture.
If you don't post the box, can I trust it's real?
Laughs out loud. People are always so invested in scrutinizing every detail of other's lives. Social media is prevalent in making sure that this kind of judgmental mentality applies to everyone. I, for one don't care, but I do like to leave things clear. I do not give in to other's judgements because it invalidates their entire presence. Kinda like when our American government ignores protestors, because if they give into their demands, you can say you're negotiating with terrorists. Then, boom- catastrophe. This said, I like to place my new Gucci box around my room for that I Just Went Shopping & I Feel So Fresh kind of feeling.
